Property Solicitor

Exeter - Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 day remote)
Join our client, a prestigious Legal 500 law firm, who are currently seeking a newly qualified Property Solicitor to join their Property team in Exeter. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to providing the highest quality advice and representation within a supportive environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Handle all aspects of residential property transactions including freehold, leasehold, new builds, remortgages, transfers of equity, and lease extensions.
- Specialise in self-build remortgages and purchases, with comprehensive training provided.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents efficiently.
- Manage a caseload independently, ensuring timely and accurate handling of all details.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and objectives to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Engage in negotiations and problem-solving activities to address any issues that arise during transactions.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
- Must be a qualified solicitor with a valid practising certificate or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in handling residential property transactions.
- Prior involvement in self-build developments is preferred but not compulsory.
- Strong knowledge of property law, conveyancing procedures, and legal regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
