Chadwick Nott are delighted to be working with a highly respected South West law firm seeking a Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Practitioner with 2-5 years’ post-qualification experience to join its well-established Business Services Team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to specialise in agricultural and rural property matters within a collaborative, high-performing environment, offering quality work and strong client service.
The RoleYou’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of agricultural and rural property matters, including:
- Sales and purchases of farmland and rural estates
- Agricultural tenancies and licences
- Easements, rights of way, and boundary issues
- Advising farmers, landowners, and rural businesses
- Liaising with clients, agents, and other professionals
- Supporting a collaborative and ambitious team culture
- Maintaining high professional standards and compliance
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor, legal executive, or practitioner with:
- 2-5 years PQE in agricultural or rural property law (or strong interest in developing expertise in this area)
- Strong technical and drafting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence in managing matters independently
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Motivation, organisation, and a proactive mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
- Willingness to attend client meetings and external events
