Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a skilled and versatile Maintenance Handyperson to join a diverse team based in Exeter, Devon. This is a hands-on role requiring a practical approach to general property maintenance and repair across a variety of sites.

This position is ideally suited to someone who enjoys varied daily tasks and takes pride in maintaining safe, functional, and well-presented properties.

Key Duties

Carry out general repairs and maintenance, including basic carpentry, painting, and minor repairs.

Complete routine inspections of systems, safety devices, and overall property condition in line with regulatory standards.

Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and prioritise workloads to minimise disruption.

Assist with moving furniture and equipment when required.

Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe and effective use.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years' experience across a variety of property types, including commercial offices, residential buildings, and mixed-use facilities.

Competent in general maintenance tasks such as basic carpentry, painting, and minor repairs.

Ability to prioritise workloads effectively and adapt to changing demands.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.

Good understanding of health and safety regulations, protocols, and compliance.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday.

Expected between 37 and 40 hours per week.

What We Offer

£15 per hour.

Temporary to permanent opportunity after successful completion of 12 weeks.

Full-time, Monday to Friday working pattern.

Immediate start available.
