About the Role

Ready to lead, inspire, and make an impact in a fast‑paced workshop environment? We're looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Foreman to join our dynamic Plant & Tool division. If you're passionate about machinery, thrive on team leadership, and want to be part of a business that's growing fast—that could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

As the Foreman, you'll be at the heart of our depot operations, ensuring our fleet of diggers, dumpers, and power tools is maintained to the highest standards and always hire‑ready. You'll lead a team of Fitters, manage workloads, and drive performance—all while keeping safety, efficiency, and quality front and centre. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role offering real career progression in a company that invests in its people.

What

You'll Be Doing
  • Overseeing the day‑to‑day running of the depot workshop and ensuring plant equipment is consistently available for hire
  • Allocating and monitoring workloads across the fitter team to maximise productivity and meet performance targets
  • Leading by example to maintain high standards of safety, service, and equipment care
  • Implementing planned maintenance programmes to reduce downtime and repair costs
  • Ensuring accurate records of servicing, repairs, and appliance testing are maintained and compliant with legislation
  • Managing workshop cleanliness, vehicle maintenance schedules, and off‑hire inspections
  • Coaching and developing workshop staff
About You
  • Ensuring appropriate PPE is worn and safe working practices are followed at all times
What You'll Bring
  • Ideally experience in a senior plant mechanic/fitter role, with a relevant qualification or time‑served background
  • Solid, up‑to‑date knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Strong team management skills in a fast‑paced workshop environment
  • A full, valid driving licence
