Position: Building Team Leader (Internal Only)

To assist in the provision of a high-quality, efficient, responsive, flexible and effective Estates service to the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, working as part of the Estates Department.

The successful candidate will lead the Building Team in delivering an efficient and effective maintenance service across the Trust estate. The role will involve the supervision and coordination of a wide range of building maintenance activities, including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and remedial repairs, alterations, installations and improvement works undertaken by the Estates Department.

You will manage and coordinate work across a broad range of building fabric, fixtures, fittings and associated services throughout the Trust estate. You will be expected to provide effective day-to-day leadership to a skilled building team, ensuring work is prioritised appropriately, carried out safely and completed to a high standard.

The role requires a self-motivated and proactive individual who is able to lead the team effectively, often in circumstances where limited information may initially be available. You will ensure that works are appropriately assessed, planned and completed while minimising disruption to clinical services and maintaining a safe, clean and suitable environment for patients, staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will support the continued development of the Building Team, promoting high standards of workmanship, professionalism and customer service. You will ensure that the Trust's Values are demonstrated at all times, with a strong focus on quality, integrity, teamwork and supporting the wider Estates service.

We are looking for an experienced and fully skilled building tradesperson with the technical knowledge, practical experience and leadership qualities required to lead our Building Team based at the Royal Devon in Exeter.

The salary for the role is £32,073–£39,043, with additional opportunities for overtime.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 (5 x 7.5-hour days)
