Role Summary

To deliver a high-quality, efficient, and responsive estates service across the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will support the Estates Team by providing out-of-hours engineering cover through a 24-hour rota system.

This role is pivotal in maintaining the safety, function, and compliance of Trust estate infrastructure outside core working hours.

The successful candidate will work with the team to provide an efficient maintenance service carrying out work of a wide-ranging nature, with an aim to support a high quality, flexible, dynamic and experienced shift team. This will be in the areas of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), remedial repairs, alterations, testing and installation of engineering services, equipment and fixtures maintained by the Estates Department.

You will work on a wide range of services, equipment and services across all areas within the Trusts estate. This will require the individual to possess a fully skilled, self-motivated and proactive ability working safely but effectively as a valued member of the Estates team.

Skilled in fault finding, often in circumstances where a limited amount of initial information is provided, the post holder will also ensure that the work they carry out is completed effectively to ensure that patients, staff and visitors are provided with a clean safe and pleasant environment suitable for the Trust and service provided.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the team ensuring that the Trusts Visions and Values are maintained at all times, focusing on engineering excellence, integrity and support for the wider Estates team.
