Day Shift Team Leader (Senior Authorised Person) –

We are recruiting for an experienced Day Shift Team Leader to take responsibility for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a complex industrial site. This is a senior supervisory role with clear accountability for people, performance, and safety, offering long-term stability and an excellent benefits package.

• Leading and supervising day shift operational teams
• Promoting and embedding a strong safety-first culture
• Managing safe systems of work, permits, and site authorisations
• Coordinating site activities to maximise availability and efficiency
• Managing contractors, visitors, and site inductions
• Carrying out risk assessments and supporting incident investigations
• Supporting continuous improvement across safety, quality, and performance
• Acting as a senior operational point of contact in the absence of the Operations Manager
• Maintaining shift rotas, training records, and competency compliance

• Experience in a process, power, or heavy industrial environment
• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Experience with safe systems of work, permits, and contractor control
• Confident communicator with good organisational skills
• Engineering qualification such as ONC / HNC (or equivalent)
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification desirable
• Senior Authorised Person experience (mechanical or electrical) advantageous

• Salary of £62,000 per year
• Discretionary annual bonus of up to 10%
• Monday-Friday days only
