About the roleThe principal responsibility of the Planning and Performance Manager is to carry out the coordination of performance review, planning and risk management within and across Force and Alliance business units or business areas (victims, safeguarding, demand management), including the identification, implementation and monitoring of changes and innovations that will contribute to the delivery of improved services.
Key Responsibilities- Being the business unit senior management team lead and subject matter expert for managing, monitoring and reviewing organisational performance
- Senior management team lead and subject matter expert on risk management processes and the management of and coordination of activity contained within departmental / BCU risk registers.
- Being the lead and subject matter expert in facilitating and guiding the planning and recommendation management process for business unit areas senior management teams in line with corporate processes, also leading on and supporting individual programmes / projects.
- Identification of and monitoring of the activity required to ensure compliance with the requirements of national standards relevant to the role holder portfolio.
- Acting as force practitioner lead for a specific corporate development portfolio (performance, planning, risk management, etc.).
- The representation and advocacy of Performance & Analysis Department, its products and processes in design reviews and other ad hoc activity.
