Bailiff Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and plan the workload of an autonomous field team that executes warrants in accordance with HMCTS instructions.
• Deploy bailiffs and manage individual performance to achieve efficient use of resources and effective disposal of business.
• Ensure governance and assurance around the safe and secure receipt, accounting and transfer of money and personal data.
• Lead and manage a team of staff, ensuring they are organised, fully skilled and meet objectives using Lean tools, SOPs and continuous improvement practices.
• Assist in the delivery of performance against targets.

• Valid EU or UK driving licence.
• Access to a road‑worthy vehicle for work purposes.
• Fit to drive and able to use own car for the role.
• Prepared to work varying shifts, including evenings up to 9 pm, weekends and public holidays.

Full‑time role (37 hours per week) with structured shift patterns. Regular Saturday work and participation on public holidays are required.

This post is based at Exeter Law Courts, Southern Gardens, Exeter, EX1 1UH. Regular travel across Devon, Cornwall and Dorset is required.

£1,000 per annum allowance, role‑specific and non‑pensionable.
