Salary: £45,765 rising to £50,949 per annum + Excellent Benefits including Government Pension

Location: Hybrid Working/Police Headquarters, Exeter, England

Closing Date: 19/06/2026, Midday

Hours per week: This role is 37 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part‑time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.

About the role Responsibilities
  • Management/leadership of IA team (5x Direct reports and 15 x secondary reports).
  • Interpreting statistical and financial information in relation to the performance of L&D in order to leverage business improvements.
  • Management and coordination of the main investigation pathways – Police Now, DC DHEP, DCEP, PC – DC.
  • Oversight of student Detectives assessment provision.
  • Oversight of pathway performance – attrition rates, OCP completion rates.
  • Researching and developing detailed knowledge on specific technical or business topics and briefing L&D colleagues as appropriate which includes management and oversight of all licensed PIP 1 and PIP trainings products.
