We are looking for an experienced and driven Project and Service Change Manager to join our Transformation Team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead, design and deliver improvements that make a real difference to patient care, staff experience, and the sustainability of our services.

In this pivotal role, you will work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams across the Trust to redesign pathways, manage complex service improvement projects, and embed a culture of continuous improvement. About the Role

More detail about the role

There has never been a more important time to take a transformational approach to healthcare in order to make the best possible use of our precious resources and provide the best possible care to our patients.

The Transformation Team at RDUH has a strong track record of supporting acute, community and corporate teams to redesign services, improving productivity, quality, safety and financial performance. This work is essential in meeting current NHS pressures and helping the Trust deliver its 25/26 operating plan.

In these challenging times, we need talented people who can empower colleagues, build improvement capability and inspire teams to find creative solutions. In return, we offer a supportive environment, development opportunities, and the chance to contribute to work that truly makes a difference for patients and staff.

As a Project and Service Change Manager, you will:

  • Lead the design, planning and delivery of service improvement and change projects across the Trust
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to diagnose issues, identify opportunities and implement sustainable improvements
  • Use recognised improvement methodologies (process mapping, LEAN, demand and capacity analysis) to support transformation
  • Manage complex programmes of work, ensuring robust project documentation, governance and reporting
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including Executive Directors, clinicians, operational leaders, and external partner
  • Support and facilitate workshops, training sessions and engagement events.
  • Line-manage project support staff and contribute to the ongoing development of improvement capability within the organisation

This is a high-impact role where you’ll have autonomy, visibility, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to Trust-wide service development.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if sufficient suitable candidates apply.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours/week Monday - Friday (Flexible/Hybrid working available).

Interview Date:18 August 2026
