Overview

Key Responsibilities Content Creation and Storytelling- Support creation of visual and multimedia content (short films, graphics, presentations).
- Produce high‑quality internal and external content, including articles, newsletters, intranet posts, social media updates and project case studies.
- Translate technical information into clear, engaging messages.
- Identify and develop shareable stories across milestones and human moments.
- Build positive working relationships with project teams, clients and senior leaders.
- Support communications planning to meet the needs of different audiences.
- Coordinate approvals and ensure accurate, joined‑up messaging.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the wider Jacobs team.
- Manage internal and external communication channels, including intranets, websites and social media platforms.
- Plan, draft and schedule content across digital channels.
- Monitor engagement and improve content performance.
- Support development of innovative ways to reach audiences.
- Plan and deliver communication campaigns linked to key projects and priorities.
- Raise awareness of Jacobs’ work with clients, partners and employees.
- Encourage and support user‑generated content from colleagues and project teams.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required.
- Strong storytelling instincts and a passion for creating content people want to read, watch or share.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to shape raw information into clear, engaging copy.
- Sharp editorial eye and confidence in editing for clarity, accuracy, tone of voice and consistency.
- Awareness of the media and online landscape and the ability to track how stories travel.
- Adaptability in style and format for different audiences and channels.
- High attention to detail and strong fact‑checking and proofreading habits.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Confidence using digital channels and content tools.
- Interest in infrastructure, engineering or the built environment.
