Creation Care Engagement Officer

Overview

Salary £30,000-£33,000 per annum, pro rata based on experience (equivalent to £24,000-£26,400 for a 0.8 FTE). Closing date for applications: 2 August 2026.

Hours:

Part-time, 29 hours per week.

We are looking for someone to join our team to work directly with churches and church schools to reduce our impact on the environment. We’ve declared a Climate Emergency and set a target to work towards Net Zero by 2030. We’re looking for someone who believes in the gift of creation, with a passion for helping communities take action on climate change and realising new eco mission opportunities.

• Work directly with churches and church schools to reduce environmental impact.
• Inspire, support and enable communities to take practical action on climate change and to realise new eco-mission opportunities.

• Ability to inspire, encourage, support and enable others.
• Ability to empathise with the challenges faced by church and church school communities and come alongside them to help find solutions.
• Belief in the gift of creation with a passion for helping communities take climate action.
• Commitment to the aims of declaring a Climate Emergency and working towards Net Zero by 2030.
