Bank Endoscopy Pre Assessment Staff Nurse

Staff Nurse – Pre‑Assessment (Bank / Part Time) – Exeter Hospital – up to £26.50 per hour, depending on experience.

As a Pre‑Assessment Staff Nurse at Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital, you will be an essential member of a close‑knit, matron‑led team delivering consultant‑led patient care. Your role is the first point of contact for patients scheduled for surgery, ensuring accurate assessment and support before admission.

• Deliver matron‑led care as part of a consultant‑led service.
• Act as the first point of contact and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to perform accurate pre‑operative assessments.
• Apply a broad knowledge base and assessment skills to safeguard patient care.
• Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family.
• Offer comfort and reassurance, maintaining the highest standards of care.
• Build experience with new practices, equipment and facilities.
• Co‑operate with practitioners in other areas to ensure continuity of patient care.

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or equivalent governing body.
• Post‑registration experience preferred; a passion for exceptional patient care.

• Experience working in a hospital setting and familiarity with pre‑assessment procedures.
