Job Description:

As a Staff Nurse in our hospital, you’ll be attentive, focused, detail‑oriented and empathetic. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC) and bring the relevant qualifications and experience. With post‑registration experience, you’re a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

• Be part of a close‑knit team delivering matron‑led care in a consultant‑led service
• As the first point of contact you will work with leading talent and professionals to make the right assessments for patients prior to their surgery
• Demonstrate a broad knowledge base and assessment skills to ensure patient care
• Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family
• Offer comfort and reassurance, providing the highest standards of care
• Build your experience across new practices, equipment and facilities
• Work with practitioners in other areas, understanding that continuity in patient care is key

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad‑hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

The Exeter Nuffield Hospital is located next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an endoscopy suite. Additional facilities include an outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, radiology (MRI). Specialties include elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology (including invasive procedures), general surgery, plastics & cosmetic surgery, ENT and gynaecology. The hospital also houses a MAKO robot for joint replacement surgery.
