The starting salary will be from £34,610 on Grade E spine point 26, depending on qualifications and experience.

The HASS Faculty wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate to support the work of Prof Laura Salisbury on the interdisciplinary project After the End. This Wellcome Trust funded post is available from 01/09/26 to 31/08/28. In line with the University’s fair employment for all principles, any further funding opportunities identified will be reviewed and discussed during the contract. The successful applicant will undertake and publish original medical humanities research into narratives and lived experiences of endings and aftermaths, as they relate to Global Health.

The successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information orally, in writing and electronically, and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.

Applicants will possess a relevant PhD (or nearing completion) or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes.
