Open Access Officer (Internal Applicants Only)

Exeter (Hybrid)

Fixed‑term contract until 31 March 2027

£33,951 – £39,906 per year (Grade E £33,951 – £35,608 depending on experience)

This position supports researchers' use of the institutional repository for Open Access to publications and data, and facilitates compliance with open access funder requirements. The role is part of the Open Research Team responsible for the breadth of Open Research activities across Exeter.

• Assist researchers in depositing publications and datasets into the institutional repository.
• Provide guidance on Open Access requirements and best practice.
• Monitor repository processes and compliance with funder mandates.
• Collaborate with research offices and librarians to promote Open Access.
• Support the implementation of strategies under the UKRI Open Access Block Grant.

We are looking for someone with an understanding of the open access and open research landscape, good interpersonal skills, and willingness to adapt to changing policies and requirements. The role is suitable for those looking to enter or advance in a research enabling/support environment.
