  • Fri: 16:00:00 - 23:15:00

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from  £13.28 an hour; this increases to  £14.55 for stores within the M25. ÂAdditional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with a minimum of 12 hours for those who prefer fewer hours.

We will schedule your contracted hours within the availability windows and give you three weeks’ notice of your shifts. We support flexibility; if your available times closely match the advertised windows, we would still love to hear from you.

  • Helping store shoppers better every day.

  • Passing through the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
  • Applying training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
  • Deciding on actions that are right for customers and delivering routines that meet their needs at the right time.
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Being knowledgeable about store performance and driving service & sales, reducing waste and shrink and delivering profit.
  • Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
  • Being true to company values, making everyone feel welcome and following policies.
  • Accepting deliveries into the store when required.
Qualifications
  • A passion for delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile, and serving them with pride.
  • The ability to build rapport with customers, making them experience a great shopping trip.
  • Taking initiative and making decisions that are right for customers.
  • Working well within a team and communicating openly.
  • Building relationships with colleagues to create a team spirit, having fun and celebrating success.
  • Being on time, well presented and ready to be a brand ambassador.
  • Over 18 years of age; only recruits who have passed the school leaver’s age. Applicants under 18 are only considered for roles requiring less than 6:15 am or 9:45 pm or not involving certain areas (warehouse, beers and spirits, counters, bakery, and driving). The role may close earlier than advertised due to high volume of applicants.
