Availability Window

The following times are required for weekly availability:

• Sun: 16:00 - 23:00
• Tue: 12:30 - 19:30
• Thu: 12:30 - 21:30

Pay and hours

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with options for fewer hours (minimum 12). You will receive at least three weeks' notice of your shifts.

We support flexible working. If your availability matches closely but not exactly, we will consider you.

Responsibilities

• Serve shoppers and provide excellent customer service.
• Work across the store, including service, picking, and replenishment areas.
• Apply training to work safely and effectively.
• Make customer-focused decisions and meet their needs in a timely manner.
• Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Track store performance, understand your role in driving service and sales, reducing waste, shrink and delivering profit.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality.
• Live the Tesco values and make all customers feel welcome.
• Accept deliveries into the store when required.

Age requirement

PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BE OVER 18 TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE. We also only recruit individuals who have reached the school leaver’s age. The role may require working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm, or in areas such as warehouse, beer, wine, spirits, counter, bakery or driving.
