Overview

We are looking to recruit a Business Development Executive to join our expanding mid‑corporate team. While the role is primarily aligned to our Exeter office, we’re also open to candidates based across the South West, including Devon, Cornwall, and Somerset. Our Exeter branch is a vibrant, fast‑paced, and high‑energy environment, home to a team of ambitious, like‑minded, and experienced professionals. As Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for actively growing and sourcing new business. And you won’t be doing it alone. You'll Make An Impact
  • Actively seek and respond to all new business opportunities whilst exceeding your targets. There is a strong focus here on the monetary goals but more importantly, how you engage with your clients and the impact on our reputation within the market.
  • Focus on the needs of your retail customers. We offer a broad range of services and products, so you’ll have plenty of chances to upsell.
  • Contributing to our overall target, you’re a strong performer, great teammate, and act with the highest integrity.
  • Attend trade‑related dinners, AGM’s, trade shows, expos, etc. able to rely heavily on your interpersonal skills and ability to network at all levels to seize new opportunities.
  • Outstanding communication skills and powers to negotiate effectively get you the most appropriate terms with Underwriters and Insurers.
  • Present a dynamic and professional image of our company to everyone you meet, actively encouraging open dialogue about our industry and how we’re experts in our field.
About You
  • You have a proven track record in business development and sales within the insurance industry, with experience delivering against targets in a regulated environment.
  • You’re self‑motivated and proactive, with the ability to generate leads and build pipelines independently.
  • Your focus is always on the client, and you’re dedicated to providing the best possible service and outcomes.
  • You’re a team player who values collaboration and thrives in a supportive environment.
  • You’re eligible to work in the UK and are willing to travel as needed.
