Security Assurance Co‑ordinator – Cyber Security Consultant

Specialist role:
Cyber security consultant.

The Met Office have a requirement for a Security Assurance Coordinator (SAC) for their new MetSIS Programme of work. The role is to provide Security Assurance across a range of defence‑related projects in the Met Office.

Who the specialist will work with

• Met Office project manager (MetSIS)
• Met Office Infrastructure Technical Lead
• Third‑party supplier organisations
• Ministry of Defence Accreditation

What the specialist will work on

The primary work is to write and coordinate the assembly of the MetSIS System RMADS and liaise with DAIS Accreditors across government and third‑party suppliers to ensure security compliance.

Address where the work will take place Met Office HQ, Exeter, Devon.

Working arrangements Onsite 1 day per week (flexibility preferred) with potential for limited off‑site working as appropriate. Travel and expenses limited to the Met Office policy.

Security clearance Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance valid until at least 31/03/2017.

Essential skills and experience

• Current and comprehensive familiarity with JSP
  440
• Current and comprehensive familiarity with JSP
  604
• Current and comprehensive familiarity with DCPP
• Recent experience of writing RMADS to satisfy requirements as specified in JSP
  440 & JSP
  604 and any other relevant Government publication
• Hold Developed Vetting security clearance valid until at least 31/03/2017
• Recent/current experience liaising with many DAIS Accreditors across government
• Recent/current experience liaising with a number of 3rd‑party hardware and software suppliers from Government approved procurement channels up to List‑X
