Practical Facilitator – Carpentry and Joinery

We're looking for someone patient and super‑organised to work in our carpentry and joinery team. You don't need teaching experience or qualifications, but you will need some industry experience – labouring, machining, window‑fitting or anything in between. Your role is to support students, prepare work spaces and facilitate practical activities.
You'll need to be …- organised and reliable
- supportive, patient and approachable
- confident with industry‑specific tools and machinery, with a great knack for explaining things simply and clearly
- flexible and happy to muck in and do what's needed
- knowledgeable about / experienced in a construction trade
- preparing for practical lessons – ensuring work spaces are spic and span
- ordering tools, equipment, materials – keeping stocks just right
- supporting lessons by guiding students and sharing your technical knowledge
- providing a limited amount of teaching
- 28 % pension – we pay an extra 28 % of your salary into your pension pot
- at least 45 days' paid holiday per year (pro‑rata)
