As a RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage.

Location:

Exeter, Devon (also opportunities in Bodmin, Barnstaple, Bournemouth, Bristol, Gloucester). Full Time, 40 hours per week, core hours 8:30‑5:00, 1 in 4 Saturdays.

• You’re someone who gets people. This isn’t just spanners and engines – our mechanics chat customers on driveways, give advice and represent the RAC with pride.
• You like mixing things up. Every day’s a little different – servicing, diagnostics, repairs and checks, plus managing stock, reporting and keeping customer conversations flowing.
• You think on your feet. You’ll be trusted to make the right call for each customer – different fixes, faces, challenges each day.

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on‑target earnings up to £50,000.
• A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
• 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
• 23 days of holiday (rising to 25 with service) plus bank holidays.
