Support Worker – Residential Youth Care Assistant – Exeter, Full-Time, Permanent

We are seeking dedicated Support Workers to join a modern semi-independent residential home in Exeter that supports young adults aged 16-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives
• Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting
• Manage and respond to challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism
• Safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of young residents
• Support young people to develop independence and life skills
• Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's care
• Uphold care plans, reward systems, and communication preferences for each individual

• Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or with Young People is desirable but not essential
• Healthcare or social care experience is advantageous
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence (required for transporting young people)
• Must be over 21 years old
• Able to commute to Exeter

• 40 hours per week
• Shift pattern: 9am – 10pm, with sleep shifts, 7am – 9am
