Overview
BDS have a fantastic opportunity for a housing support worker in Exeter and surrounding area.
Contract & CompensationHours per week: 30
Expected length of contract:
Temp ongoing to start ASAP
Salary: £15.40 per hour PAYE plus holiday pay, or £19.53 per hour umbrella.
Key Responsibilities- Support veterans and others who have been homeless or facing homelessness, providing a holistic, solution-focused approach.
- Manage a workload of 5 to 8 customers at any one time, delivering high-quality service.
- Collaborate with a larger team supporting people with complex needs in the Honiton area.
- Work closely with other agencies (mental health, substance misuse, benefits, private letting agents, landlords, etc.) to explore education, training and employment options.
- Write, review and update support plans and risk assessments, adopting a positive approach to risk management.
- Experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Passion for helping people in the local community.
- Current enhanced DBS check required.
- Must hold an enhanced DBS check.
- Must be a driver with access to a vehicle.
