Access Ability Pathway Lead
This part-time (0.6 FTE) post is available from 1st September 2026 on a permanent basis, as part of a job share agreement.
Salary will be £43,482 per annum pro rata on Grade F subject to knowledge, skills and experience.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on campus and some from home.

About the roleWe are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic disability professional to take up the post of Pathway Lead (Access Ability). The Access Ability Service is part of the University's Wellbeing Services. You will assume responsibility for the day-to-day management and oversight of the work of the University of Exeter's Access Ability Service, including line management duties. The role involves close liaison and joint working across the Wellbeing Service to support students with a range of disabilities, alongside liaison with other university staff and external agencies (e.g. Student Finance, GPs, statutory mental health services and voluntary sector agencies).

We would be keen to hear from experienced disability or relevant health practitioner interested in supporting students and managing a team in a university environment. You will be a skilled practitioner who has a thoughtful and adaptable approach to your work, as well as a real interest sensitively supporting students in an academic context. You will also be committed to the advancement of disability services and widening access to this important student community.
This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for someone to join an innovative service allowing you to develop your skills and engage in service development projects. You will be a skilled practitioner, able to work with colleagues at all levels and demonstrate excellent communication skills to negotiate and influence.
