Multi Drop Driver

Hours per week: 48 hours – Monday to Friday, Saturday morning

Salary: £35,642.88

To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.

• Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• Perform a daily check to ensure that the vehicle is in roadworthy condition, including lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• Report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• Maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with its cleanliness.
• Ensure sufficient quantities of fuel for the day’s work.
• Maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• Check all orders shown on drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded onto the vehicle.
• Collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and return them safely to the branch as instructed by branch management.
• Deal promptly and correctly with damages/breakages, following special procedures for Haz Chems.
• Maintain a smart appearance at all times.
• Help maintain good customer relations.
• Perform other duties, including warehouse tasks, as defined by Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

• Valid manual driver’s licence with no more than 3 ‘live’ points.
• Proven experience as a Multi Drop Van Driver or similar role.
• Familiarity with local traffic laws and knowledge of assigned delivery areas/routes.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to delivery schedules.
