Customer Delivery Driver, Supermarket Assistant

Overview

As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you'll bring Waitrose produce and Partner-led service to customers' doors. You will support the shop with daily tasks when not on the road.

• Check delivery routes for the day.
• Load and prepare your van for deliveries; ensure all orders are complete for direct-to-customer delivery.
• Complete vehicle safety checks and maintain road, health and safety compliance.
• Act as an ambassador for the Waitrose brand with customer-first service.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as required.

• Full valid B-category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Great customer service skills.
• Time management skills.
• Able to cope with physical aspects of the role (lifting crates, moving cages).
• Comfortable working independently, self-motivated and adaptable.
• IT literate.

• Previous experience in a driving role and knowledge of chilled vehicles would be welcomed.

Pay: £14.31 hourly

Hours of Work:
Varied full-time across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends.

Night premium:
Any time worked between 22:00–06:00 will attract £3.75 per hour. Applies to existing Partners enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

Age requirement: 18 years or older.
