About the Role
You’ll oversee daily activities, manage the yard team, and ensure materials are handled safely and efficiently.
- Supervise day-to-day yard operations
- Oversee loading/unloading of deliveries
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised yard
- Manage stock levels and material handling
- Coordinate shipping & receiving
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance issues
- Train and support team members
- Assist with manual handling when required
- Experience in a builders merchant or warehouse yard
- Strong team leadership & communication skills
- Good knowledge of health & safety procedures
- Physically fit (heavy lifting involved)
- Organised and able to work under pressure
- Experience with stock systems/WMS (advantage)
- Week 1:
Mon–Fri 07:00–16:00 - Week 2:
Mon–Fri 07:00–16:00 + Sat 08:00–12:00
