Exams Officer / Part‑time Administrator
OverviewPart‑time role, 18 hours a week on a term time only basis. 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
Location:
Lympstone. The role requires eligibility for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
Help get better‑trained personnel to the front line faster – as an Administrator you will provide administration support to the Apprenticeship Team for the Royal Navy.
Ideally hours will be Wednesday: 7 hours, Thursday: 7 hours, Friday: 4 hours, open for discussion.
What you’ll be doing- Provide administrative support to the Apprenticeship Team, ensuring efficient and accurate workflow.
- Maintain learner records, documentation, and digital systems in line with ESFA and Ofsted requirements.
- Support the coordination of apprenticeship activities, including enrolments, tracking, reviews, and reporting.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, training sessions, and functional skills exams where required.
- Handle routine enquiries from learners, training staff, and stakeholders, offering timely and professional responses.
- Prepare and collate documents, spreadsheets, and reports to support programme delivery and compliance.
- Liaise with training instructors, assessors, and site teams to ensure information accuracy and consistency.
- Strong administrative experience
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital record systems
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
- High standards of accuracy and confidentiality
- Have worked in an education, training, or compliance‑focused environment
- Experience working in apprenticeships, military training, or an education setting

This role is offered on a term‑time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non‑working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro‑rate and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
