We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and people-focused Event Manager to join our team at Ocean, Exmouth. As Event Manager, you'll oversee the full event journey from initial enquiry through to delivery and post-event follow-up. You'll work closely with clients to understand their requirements, offer advice and guidance, coordinate event details and ensure every aspect of the experience is delivered to the highest standard. Whether it's a wedding, birthday celebration, conference, charity event or an Ocean-led experience, you'll make sure every detail is planned and executed seamlessly.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing event enquiries and guiding clients through the booking process
• Conducting venue show rounds and building strong client relationships
• Planning and coordinating events to ensure they run smoothly and professionally
• Liaising with operational teams, chefs, suppliers and external partners to deliver exceptional experiences
• Supporting and developing a varied programme of events throughout the year
• Working alongside marketing colleagues to promote events and maximise attendance
• Monitoring event performance, budgets and customer feedback to continually improve the offer
• Leading by example, supporting colleagues and helping maintain high service standards across the venue
• Ensuring all events are delivered safely and in line with health, safety and compliance requirements

This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience managing or coordinating events with an emphasis on Weddings
• Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Builds positive relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers
• Remains calm under pressure and enjoys working in a busy environment
• Has outstanding communication and customer service skills
• Can manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional standards
• Brings creativity, initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Is flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends when required by the business
