• To provide a supportive learning environment for students to develop graduate level and subject specific skills.
• To support the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• To develop and implement teaching and learning initiatives.
• To contribute to postgraduate taught courses and participate in research and research supervision.

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate zoology courses.
• Develop and implement teaching and learning initiatives.
• Supervise postgraduate dissertations and guide research projects.
• Engage with industry partners and external organisations.
• Maintain competence in GIS and R for research and teaching.

• Higher degree in zoology or related sciences.

• Significant teaching and training experience in classroom and field settings.

• Broad knowledge and experience in zoology, with particular interest in consultancy, marine/freshwater biology or ornithology.

• Proven ability to conduct and supervise independent research and collaborate with experts across the School.

• Desire and ability to offer both undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation projects.

• Comprehensive understanding of engaging, effective teaching and learning methods.

• Postgraduate qualification in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education or equivalent teaching qualification/FHEA.

• Access to teaching and research laboratories, seminars and lecture theatres.

• Opportunities for collaboration across a diverse group of specialists in animal behavior, molecular biology, marine biology, veterinary science, forensic biology, chemical engineering, drug discovery, etc.

• Possible part‑time positions available.
