School Nurse; SCPHN

School nurse post with Devon County Council, on rota to the Single Point of Access Hub and covering a defined area around Exmouth and Sidmouth. The work centres on leading and managing shifting workloads for children, young people and families, with safeguarding and multi-agency working built into the role. Working in a corporate team alongside health visitors, staff nurses and community health workers, the post requires a car and an active driving licence.

• Lead and manage changing, challenging workload priorities
• Work in a corporate team rostered to the Single Point of Access Hub, covering a defined geographical area
• Work in close partnership with community, voluntary and statutory agencies
• Carry out multi-agency working and safeguarding of children as an integral part of the role
• Work alongside health visitors, school nurses, staff nurses and community health workers
• Deliver an excellent service to children, young people and families in the community

• Specialist Community Public Health Nursing degree (health visitor or school nurse)

• NMC registration at first level
