Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing organization in Exton, Pennsylvania on a Contract basis. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations with a strong focus on payables, receivables, and general ledger activity. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience across core accounting functions and can contribute effectively in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice review, coding, matching documentation, and preparing weekly payment runs.

- Reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and vendor invoices to ensure accurate three-way matching and timely processing.

- Record journal entries and maintain supporting documentation to keep financial records accurate and up to date.

- Assist with accounts receivable activities, including tracking incoming payments and resolving billing discrepancies.

- Support general ledger maintenance by reviewing transactions, reconciling accounts, and identifying variances.

- Contribute to tax-related accounting tasks, including support for corporate tax and sales tax documentation and reporting.

- Work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to address payment issues and improve transaction accuracy. Requirements - 3+ years of accounting experience in a staff accountant or similar role.

- Practical experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

- Strong understanding of journal entries, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations.

- Familiarity with three-way matching and weekly check run processing.

- Exposure to corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return support activities.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.

- Experience using Microsoft 365 is helpful, but not required.
