Position Summary
The Buyer / Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing procurement activities that support seamless supply chain. This role sources and purchases materials and services, manages supplier relationships, monitors inventory levels, and supports cost-control initiatives while ensuring quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
This position works cross-functionally with logistics, warehouse, quality, and food safety teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives and ensure operational efficiency.
What You Will Do- Support business needs by building relationships and driving collaborative efforts to service the customer.
- Source, negotiate, and purchase goods and services required to support business operations.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and supplier documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Analyze market trends and forecast demand to support purchasing decisions.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously using independent judgment.
- Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and proper storage of materials.
- Evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality, reliability, and on-time delivery.
- Identify supply chain inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Support cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Quality and Food Safety teams to ensure suppliers meet approved-vendor requirements and documentation standards. (COAs, allergen, and certification records)*
- Maintain accurate supplier and material documentation to support traceability and product integrity.*

- Proficiency with ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Excel.

- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and cost control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field required.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management preferably in dry ingredients.
- Experience with vendor negotiations, inventory management, and supply chain optimization preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or retail environments is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CSCP or CPIM are highly desirable.
