New Horizons Montessori Academy in Exton is seeking to expand its team of passionate educators to accommodate our ever-growing school population. In this role, you will create and lead a model classroom. Through your efforts, parents will see what's possible for their child when authentic, high-quality Montessori is alive and well in the prepared environment. You will be provided with a full set of high-quality materials from leading manufacturers.

New Horizons Montessori Academy is a Montessori daycare and preschool located on our 12-acre private property surrounded by nature. We aspire to nurture and empower our students so they can develop an awareness of their individuality. Our talented teachers implement The Montessori Method in their classrooms where children learn through independent play and self-led exploration.

Your role as a Montessori Lead Teacher:

Create engaging lesson plans and activities aligned with The Montessori Method for your students.

Communicate with parents/guardians about classroom updates, events, conferences, and their child’s needs at school.

Participate in at least 10 hours (yearly) of Childcare Professional Training (provided at school).

Supervise your students' health, safety, and well-being during their day.

Monitor students during indoor and outdoor play.

Keep the classroom decorated according to AMS standards, maintain classroom tidiness and replenish working materials.

Help students use the restroom (changing diapers in infant-toddler classrooms).

Provide a wholesome, exceptional education experience for our students.

Job Requirements:

Authorized to work in the U.S.

A Bachelor’s degree in education or related field

A Montessori Certification or experience in Montessori Education is preferred. If not certified, readiness to pursue certification or High School diploma with a minimum 4 years of teaching experience and Montessori certification

Must be able to work between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm (40hrs weekly)

Must be able to provide an FBI Fingerprint Clearance and the ability to pass security clearances for working with children.

Ability to work well as a team member, communicate and collaborate effectively with staff and parents, and treat adults and children with kindness and respect
