Overview
Water & Wastewater Project Engineer s role involves working with principal technical professionals and project managers to deliver the full lifecycle of client needs, including asset management and planning, funding applications, preliminary and final designs, procurement and bid phase assistance, and construction phase services. Candidates should have a strong work ethic and a passion for water/wastewater treatment and facilities. Experience with municipal water and wastewater unit processes, pipeline and treatment plant hydraulics, and process mechanical layouts is essential.
Most of our team enjoys a hybrid schedule, with the role available in Princeton or Hamilton, NJ, or Philadelphia (Exton), PA offices.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to contribute across multiple phases of projects and to grow within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Apply technical knowledge in Planning (treatment studies, process/hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, permitting and site planning)
- Apply technical knowledge in Design (process design, process/mechanical design, equipment selection, sizing, layout, and chemical feed systems)
- Apply technical knowledge in Construction (bidding support, construction administration, submittal reviews, RFI responses, and site inspections)
- Apply technical knowledge in Funding & Permits (assist in applications, respond to review comments, closeout tasks)
- Perform condition assessments and basis of design studies
- B.S. in chemical, civil, environmental or mechanical engineering
- Engineer-In-Training/FE
- 5+ years of civil engineering design experience with a focus on water/wastewater treatment facilities
- Experience writing basis of design reports, preparing process/mechanical drawings for water and wastewater facilities, preparing estimates and technical specifications
- Strong AutoCAD and BIM (Revit) skills
- Ability and motivation to obtain Professional Engineering license within one year
- Excellent organizational, communication, computer, and technical writing skills
- Experience with Sewer
GEMS/Water
GEMS/Process treatment modeling (Biowin) preferred - Membership in AWWA, ASCE and/or Water Environment Federation or willingness to participate preferred
