Sr. Structural Design Engineer professional to assist the team with design and QA/QC work for the Pennsylvania regional projects. Candidates should possess a can-do attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work independently as well as with a team in a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative consulting firm. Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 7+ years in bridge design, with specific experience with Pennsylvanniastate DOT projects.
- NBIS bridge inspection and/or load rating experience willalso be considered.
- Professional Engineer License
- Proficiency with Micro Station. Open Roads Bridge Modeler/Open Bridge is a plus.
- PennDOT CBSI is a plus.
- Perform engineering tasks related to bridge design projects and other transportation-related structural design and analysis projects.
- Design steel, concrete, and/or timber bridge elements, walls, and associated structures.
- Perform structural analyses, develop calculations, and prepare plans in accordance with federal, state, and local agency requirements.
- Prepare quantities, cost estimates, and special provisions.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of calculations, special provisions, and plans prepared by others.
- Manage and maintain project and QA/QC documentation
- May perform site visits and structure inspections from time to time.
- Assist project managers with assignments including schedule and budget updates and proposal preparation
A self-starter with the ability to work with project teamsand manage multiple and concurrent tasks/assignments
Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
Data driven and detail-oriented with excellent written andverbal communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely manner.
