Are you a seasoned affordable housing professional ready to take full ownership of a well‑run LIHTC portfolio? We’re seeking a Senior Property Manager to lead operations and compliance across three stable, age‑restricted (62+) communities totaling approximately 150 units. This is a high‑autonomy role designed for a LIHTC expert who thrives as the primary affordable housing authority within an organization.
Why This Role MattersYou will be the go‑to expert for all things LIHTC, overseeing certifications, recertifications, compliance reporting, audits, and day‑to‑day affordable housing operations. While a third‑party consultant supports reviews, you will own execution, accuracy, and ongoing compliance management
, ensuring these communities operate flawlessly and within all regulatory guidelines.
- Lead three stable LIHTC senior communities, managing an on‑site team including an Assistant Property Manager, Leasing Manager, and Maintenance staff.
- Serve as the company’s primary affordable housing subject‑matter expert, making compliance decisions and managing timelines with autonomy.
- Execute all LIHTC operations, including move‑ins, recertifications, and reporting.
- Collaborate with third‑party compliance consultants to ensure audits and reviews are accurate and timely.
- Support and advise on future affordable units within the company’s market‑rate portfolio as the organization expands its affordable housing presence.
- Foster a structured, organized, and collaborative team environment while mentoring and developing staff.
- Proven experience managing senior LIHTC communities (62+) and deep knowledge of LIHTC regulations.
- Hands‑on expertise with affordable housing operations, compliance reporting, audits, and regulatory adherence.
- Experience with Yardi Affordable, PHFA, and local housing authorities, including Chester County Housing Authority.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to operate independently without an internal affordable housing department.
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive, thriving in stable, well‑run communities rather than distressed portfolios.
