Vice President of Market Growth & Expansion Strategy
The Vice President of Market Growth & Expansion Strategy reports to the Chief Retail Officer and is responsible for leading Citadel’s efforts to identify, develop, and execute strategies that drive market growth, geographic expansion, and membership. Your main responsibilities include strategic planning, business development, and coordinated efforts to grow membership, enhance member value, and position the credit union as a trusted financial anchor.
Additionally, you will assist your team in building long‑lasting member relationships to ensure they benefit from our legendary products and services.
- Build structures connecting all business units under a growth mindset framework.
- Establish common goals, shared metrics, and aligned incentives across all teams.
- Develop and implement comprehensive market expansion plans that are aligned with Citadel’s strategic objectives.
- Matrix Management of key business assets in the market.
- Expand into new markets and channels, leading as the senior marketplace executive.
- Liaison between cross‑departmental initiatives that enhance collaboration and efficiency.
- Drive year‑over‑year growth in membership and share deposits.
- Lead brand positioning and promotional campaigns.
- Evaluate SEG relationships to expand Citadel’s field of membership.
- Develop and oversee branch design, experience standards, and operational readiness that align with the Citadel brand for each location.
- Collaborate with Human Resources recruiters to hire and retain Directors and Managers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in market development, strategic planning, or business growth within the financial services industry.
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of credit unions and SEG channels.
- Proven track record of executing expansion strategies and increasing market share.
- Experience with member segmentation and data‑driven strategy.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
