Collegium Charter School (CCS) is seeking reliable and safety-focused School Bus Drivers to join our transportation team. This part-time position is ideal for individuals committed to student safety, punctuality and customer service. Safely drive a school bus or van to pick up children at various locations and transport them to and from school according to a prescribed route and an assigned schedule.

• 5:30am - 7:30am, Monday through Friday on scheduled school days and/or
• 9:00am - 1:30pm, school scheduled field trips and/or
• 1:30pm - 9:00pm, school sport trips (game time dependent) and/or
• Weekend sports trips (game time dependent)
• Very competitive pay - up to $25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

• Operate a school bus or passenger van safely along assigned routes and schedules
• Maintain control of student passengers and ensure safety during loading, unloading and transit
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Adhere to all traffic laws and CCS transportation policies
• Assisting with routine maintenance of the bus/van fleet, ie cleaning and fueling as needed
• Keep the bus clean and report any maintenance issues
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
• Respond appropriately in emergency or unexpected situations
• Promotes good citizenship through actions as a role model
• Maintains highest level of confidentiality pertaining to school and students’ information, progress, and records
• Abides by the CCS Employee Manual and all current PA Public School expectations

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
• Safe driving record with no major violations
• Must pass background clearances - PA Criminal Background Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance
• Must pass drug screening and physical examination
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred
• High School diploma or GED
• Able to read and interpret maps and utilize navigation systems
• Professional, courteous and dependable
• Meet criteria for employment in a PA Public School

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and reach overhead
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
