We are currently looking for a Site Civil Engineer to join our UK team within the Thermal Power & HVDC Division of Metlen Energy & Metals, supporting the construction of the Progress Power Plant OCGT Project based at Eye Airfield, Suffolk.

Job description:

Your role will encompass:

Supervise and coordinate daily civil works activities on site, including subcontractor management
Ensure works are delivered in line with project schedule, budget, and quality requirements
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Monitor and enforce site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
Carry out site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design and standards
Track progress and report on delays, risks, and issues to the Senior Site Engineer / Project Management team
Support setting‑out activities and verification of works where required
Assist in resolving technical issues arising during construction

What you bring to the role:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
2–4 years’ experience in construction projects, preferably within energy, infrastructure, or industrial environments
Experience working on-site and coordinating subcontractors
Good understanding of civil construction processes and site execution
