Role DescriptionAs a Staff Highway Design Engineer, you will work on infrastructure projects, developing design solutions for roadways and improving the national market. The position is remote with the option to work in the office.
Responsibilities- Develop and design infrastructure projects for roadways, including intersections, collector streets, urban arterials, rural & urban expressways, interstates and interchanges.
- Perform planning, technical design of minor projects, serve as production lead or task leader, and assist Project Manager and lead engineers.
- Assist in developing project scopes and budgets, manage client needs, mentor junior staff and designers, develop project plans, maintain schedules, and ensure compliance with Arcadis quality and safety standards.
- 4+ years’ experience on DOT projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) license.
- Active participation in regional/national professional associations.
- Working toward PE licensure.
- Experience with Open Roads Designer (3D).
- Active client‑facing presentation experience.

Benefits and CompensationFull‑time benefits include medical, dental, vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, rewards & recognition, wellbeing, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. Nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO accrue per year. Salary range: $85,000 – $115,000.
