Key Responsibilities
  • Greet clients and patients warmly upon arrival, efficiently handle check-in and check-out processes, including processing payments, reviewing invoices, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
  • Answer incoming phone calls with a professional and empathetic sales approach to appointment scheduling, promoting wellness plans, preventive care, and recommended services to support pet health.
  • Scan, organize, and properly handle medical records to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and easy access for the veterinary team.
  • Receive and communicate lab results to clients clearly and compassionately, while coordinating with the medical team for timely follow-ups.

  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology, procedures, and common medications.
  • Experience using a sales-oriented approach when handling appointment calls and recommending services.
  • Proficiency in scanning documents and proper handling/updating of medical records (experience with veterinary software such as Cornerstone or similar is a plus).
  • Comfortable working with cats and dogs, and able to remain calm in a dynamic animal hospital environment.
  • Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or in a customer service role (preferably in a medical or veterinary setting) is strongly preferred; we are willing to train the right candidate.
