Job Summary

The Salon Director contributes to Sun Tan City’s success by leading a team to create and maintain an exceptional client experience. This role involves supervising and directing staff, managing operations, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining salon standards. The Salon Director models Sun Tan City principles to deliver outstanding service.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Develop and coach employees to provide excellent client experiences
• Address client concerns promptly
• Maintain a calm and positive demeanor during busy periods
• Ensure quality client service and hold team accountable
• Drive performance metrics through action plans and company programs
• Promote the culture, values, and mission of Sun Tan City
• Delegate responsibilities for smooth operations
• Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and organization
• Manage staffing levels for development and operational needs
• Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws
• Use operational tools to achieve excellence, including labor, reports, cash, and inventory management
• Analyze financial reports to improve performance
• Conduct performance reviews and set sales goals
• Manage ongoing sales efforts

Work Schedule:

The role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, working a 5-day schedule with varying opening and/or closing shifts based on business needs.

Experience &

Skills:

• College education preferred but not required
• Management and/or sales experience required
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong client service, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills
• Team building and delegation abilities

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to bend, lift, and perform cleaning functions
