Minimum Qualifications:

A high school diploma, or equivalent, and have completed the Para Professional Assessment, or have the ability to pass the Para Professional Assessment within four (4) months of hire;

An associate’s degree or higher;

Completion of two years of higher education (at least 48 semester hours) or the equivalent;

High school-level knowledge of math, reading, and English;

Experience in maintaining accurate student records and implementing educational plans based upon these records;

Experience working in a collaborative instructional environment;

Ability to work well with teachers, principals, and District staff;

Proven ability to relate well with students and families from diverse backgrounds.

Job Summary:
Tutors migrant students primarily in reading, math, and language arts, provides academic support to migrant qualified students in small groups, one-on-one settings, and/or integrates into classrooms, and provides support to classroom teachers with migrant students needing academic assistance.

Hourly Rate: Grade 6: $20.77 - $32.72 DOE

Work Day: 7 hours per day

Work Year: 9 months

Bargaining Unit: Education Support Staff Association (ESSA)
