This position includes a $2,000 new hire bonus, which is paid after the successful completion of the first 30 working days of employment.
In addition to the new hire bonus, this position also offers a $1,000 retention bonus, payable in June upon the successful completion of the current school year. Please note that this bonus will be prorated for part-time employees.
Job Summary:The special education teacher aide assists the special education resource teacher or speech language pathologist (SLP) with classroom duties, to include providing academic support and overall supervision of students who experience mild to moderate disabilities.
New Hire Hourly Rate:Grade 5: $20.13- $22.51

Work hours:7 hours per day
Work year:9 months

Job Qualifications/Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position):- A high school diploma, or equivalent, and have completed the Para Professional Assessment,or have the ability to pass the Para Professional Assessment within four (4) months of hire;
- An associate's degree or higher;
- Completion of two years of higher education (at least 48 semester hours) or the equivalent
