The Steven
A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Alaska Behavioral Health provides confidential, high-quality behavioral healthcare services and local resource connection to post 9/11 veterans, their families, active-duty service members, and their families.
About The Team
The Clinician will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care. They will receive state-of-the-art training, clinical supervision, and support to provide the most effective, scientifically supported, evidence-based treatments available for children, youth, adults, and families.
What You’ll Do
- Provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy to patients, with a focus on delivering evidence-based treatments
- Perform and document patient screenings, psychosocial assessments, progress, and referral information
- Conduct clinical intake assessments on veterans and family members as needed
- Collaborate and coordinate with the caregiver, physician, director, case management, and all other disciplines to provide the best care to patients as needed

- Full-Time, Exempt
- Pay Range is between $72,310 and $93,579 a year depending on experience
- Position is eligible for a $10,000 signing bonus and annual incentive opportunities up to 10% of your annual salary

- Clinicians participate in regular individual and group supervision and are provided with additional training opportunities as part of our professional development plan.

What We Need From You
- You have a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or (Psy.
D.) degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited psychology program, or a Master’s degree in social work and licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); or a Master’s degree in counseling and licensed to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); or a Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy and licensed to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). - You have knowledge in DSM-IV/DSM-V diagnoses and experience in PTSD diagnoses and treatment.
- You have experience working with military populations and/or Veterans (not a deal breaker, but strongly preferred!)
