Summary

Goldbelt Frontier LLC is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join the Air Force Family Advocacy Program at Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska. The Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist (FAIS) encompasses the roles of both the Treatment Manager and Outreach Manager and is a member of the multidisciplinary FAP team.

Responsibilities
  • Under the leadership of the Family Advocacy Officer (FAO), the FAIS directs the development and implementation of prevention services, supports outreach and community prevention, and organizes and implements primary and secondary prevention activities, presentations, and programs.
  • Assess families referred for suspected maltreatment and treat individuals, families, and groups whose maltreatment allegations meet criteria for maltreatment.
  • Provide the New Parent Support Program (NPSP) to offer voluntary, comprehensive home‑based prevention services to families to prevent maltreatment.
  • Provide Family Advocacy Strength‑Based Therapy (FAST) services, offering voluntary prevention counseling to individuals, families, or groups at risk for maltreatment.
  • Function as the primary treatment provider for assigned maltreatment and FAST cases, coordinating services and monitoring client participation and progress using social casework, psychotherapy, and psycho‑educational interventions.
  • Complete psychosocial assessments, continuously assist family members with safety planning, and present findings from family assessments and recommendations for treatment.
  • Coordinate with prevention staff regarding referrals to educational services as part of the intervention plan.
  • Collaborate with NPSP team members to develop service plans incorporating primary and secondary prevention services.
  • Conduct home visits to high‑needs NPSP clients who request social work intervention.
  • Provide prevention services, briefings, and educational presentations, and offer supportive services and guidance in communication, relationship enhancement, conflict management, and bereavement.
  • Advocate with public affairs to increase awareness of FAP services for military families and promote effective community response (e.g., installation newspaper).
  • Serve as Team Leader and Community Liaison, representing the Integrated Delivery System (IDS) and coordinating Outreach Program services under the FAO’s direction.
  • Promote community initiatives to reduce maltreatment risk factors and foster community resiliency.
Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge
  • Familiarity with local laws and the legal rights of victims, including how to obtain protective orders.
  • Knowledge of available community resources to connect survivors with housing, counseling, and financial assistance.
  • Ability to develop and implement tailored safety plans for each victim.
  • Understanding of trauma‑informed care principles to prioritize healing and empowerment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from a CSWE accredited school.
  • Licensure & Certifications (Current & Unrestricted):
    • U.S. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
  • Two (2) years of full‑time post‑master’s degree experience (within the last three years) in professional clinical counseling programs for men, women, and children who are abusive or abused.
