The Advocacy Manager oversees the Advocacy and Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Programs providing supervision, training, and on‑call support to advocates and related staff. This role manages staffing and scheduling for a 24‑hour shelter and hotline and ensures program compliance and confidentiality. The Advocacy Manager supports victims through trauma‑informed care and promotes cultural humility.
Key responsibilities include supervising staff and volunteers; coordinating training; managing program policies and documentation; evaluating program effectiveness; assisting with grant reporting and compliance; and ensuring safety, security, and operational protocols for residential services. The position also involves community engagement, fundraising participation, case conferencing leadership, and collaboration across agency programs to advance the organization’s mission.
The role requires experience in supervision and direct services with marginalized populations, strong communication and organizational skills, cultural competency, and a commitment to victim advocacy. A bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience), a valid Alaska driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check are required, with preferred experience in domestic violence/sexual assault or residential programs and training development.
This is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week exempt position with on‑call duties and a salary range of $70,000‑$75,382.
